LIFE IN A JAR


Collection of seeds left over from my previous gardens.

  1. Wow. I wonder what would happen if you threw them all out into the yard come early spring.

    1. Rubye -- You know, I thought the very same thought -- just throw them on some soil and see what happens. Some of the seeds are quite old but I know that seeds usually have a few years of viability. However, I think I will keep them all mixed in my old short canning jar -- the colors and shapes intrigue me. -- barbara

    1. Raining Iguanas, When I was cleaning out my store of seeds I noticed how earthy they looked laying on the table. I scooped them up and placed them in this small old canning jar. I then placed the jar in my primitive wall cabinet. There I could continuously see them in their textures and colors as I passed by. Nice that you suggest that I elevate the photo to a notecard. Thanks -- barbara
