LIGHT DANCE

Out my window on a breezy day, as the sun heads down toward the western horizon -- movements of my maple branches  bounce dapples of light on my gauzy curtain. I'm spellbound by the moving whiteness -- it has a meditative quality. I sit watching the sunlight dance in sync to nature's sounds heard just outside my open front door.

  3. Hello Barbara:
What a memorable moment you have captured here with your camera. The light is indeed entrancing and, from this side of the computer screen, just looking at the image and reading your words and we were there!

  9. Rose, Watching light dance is very hypnotic for many people. It can be light dancing on waves through curtains, or leaves while lying under a tree. I'm sure there are other examples. -- Thanks -- barbara

  13. Living in the present moment. Always the best. I haven't had a window open in years. I do have gauzy curtains on most of my windows, however and if ever the breeze blew and did not carry spent fuel, I would love to open them and watch the curtains flutter once again.

  16. Dianne -- Fortunately I live where country air prevails. Spent fuel spells cities. Here about the only thing spent is energy from the wind and sun. Thanks -- barbara

  22. What an altogether pretty post! Your photo and your words are so peaceful, I had a frantic, difficult day and it soothed me.

The photo puts me in mind of a Wyeth painting, only more cheerful! :-)
