JOANNE'S HAND WOVEN TOWEL

Fall native snowberries on Joanne's hand woven towel

I received a present today! Joanne is a weaver -- and -- she sent me two lovely woven hand towels as a gift. Joanne's blog is interesting to follow as she goes about her daily activities in small town Ohio. Check out her blog, Cup on the Bus -- right now she is planting fall bulbs on her blog and has help from her granddaughters Emily and Laura. Thanks Joanne.

    1. J0oanne -- The weaving textures of the towel contribute a nice background when taking photos of plants. their use is two fold -- hand towel and background. I'm having fun with them. Thanks again -- barbara

  3. (this may be a duplicate -- the program seems different)

The photo of towel and berries is very nice. I've lately come to know a weaver and find that the hand looms items are very special to see and to use.

    1. June -- no duplicate. Folks like you and Joanne have a special feel for material art. Also, in the case of your quilt making and Joanne's hand weaving a lot of patience and a love of what you do. thanks -- barbara

    1. Rita -- My snowberries on my post were beginning to shrivel a bit but I still photographed them on the towel as the colors blended quite well together. The actual snowberry bush is a new discovery for me -- as far as actually seeing one. thanks for the comment.

    1. The snowberries were picked along a fence line in a parking lot. Apparently the bush was a volunteer. I am finding all kinds of interesting plants along fence lines here in Oregon. Guess this is good territory for growing just about any plant. The towels are so pretty I don't want to use them -- but I am sure I will. -- barbara
