ROADSIDE DAFFODILS FOR SALE

A trip across the river from Vancouver into Oregon found a few folks selling daffodils from the roadside. A beautiful sight after a gray winter. Above you can take your pick of flowers for $2.00 a bunch. Such a deal to bring springtime into your home.

    1. Melissa -- I feel we in the Pacific NW are rather fortunate right now having all this color around us -- the eastern part of the country is still battling winter type storms! thanks -- barbara

  10. Very nice. I wonder if my daffodils with be poking through the snow drifts anytime soon? Nah.... they're too sensible for that...:)

    1. troutbirder -- From what I see with the depth of your snow drifts I doubt they will be seen now but perhaps in a few days if the sun shines 24/7. Hope for the best. thanks -- barbara

    1. Sandra -- I have always stopped at flower stands along the road that are selling fresh flowers from their garden. Their is an invisible link between gardener and the buyer. So much more personal than buying at a flower shop in a grocery store. thanks for stopping and hope you will be back. -- barbara

  12. That'll be the only way spring makes it here for a few more weeks. STILL more snow than grass.

  13. ps I just noticed the remnants of nice yellow paint on your wooden bench. That's a nice picture, I do like the naturally worn look of old things.

  14. So much pleasure in these bunches (or bundles)! And that little red wagon is part of the pleasure in your photos. I wonder if you got to meet the growers of these happy flowers...

    1. Rita -- I did not get to meet the growers although they apparently lived on this property. I was on a time schedule that day so I had several stops yet to make. And being that I am a talker I I would have put my schedule into another time zone. thanks -- barbara
