  1. I like this type of decorating using all natural materials. It's quite rustic and very pretty.

  2. Hey, is there a place to sit and enjoy a leisurely fall afternoon on this porch? I can't find a place. hahahaha

    1. Birdman -- From the photo it looks full of pumpkins and mums but up against the porch's back wall there is the traditional southern seating -- thanks for stopping. -- barbara

  3. I don't have a "front porch" just a stoop. This just makes me drool...

    1. turquoisemoon -- I forgot to ask the homeowner if they raised all of the pumpkins as it could get fairly expensive for all that they had. Of course the mums can be saved year to year. thanks for stopping by -- barbara

  4. I love this! The mums and pumpkins add such beautiful autumnal colors, and the ornamental grasses add a wonderful texture. A really charming and inviting porch - I'd love to sit there and sip some apple cider. :-)

    1. Laloofah -- Actually this was a wrap around porch. The other part of the porch looked almost the same as the view you see in my post. thanks for the comments -- barbara

  5. Amazing! Looks more like a garden shop than a regular front porch. Perfect for the season. Take away the jack o'lanterns and it will be great for Thanksgiving.

    1. NCmountainwoman -- It does rather look like a garden shop but its an honest to goodness home. Overall it has a very nice look. Gets one in the autumn mood when you ride by. -- thanks for the comment -- barbara

  6. A wrap-around porch to top it off? Goodness, I want to be there. And, I really like your picture of the butternut squash.....my favorite with butter and brown sugar.

    1. Nature Weaver -- thanks for the comment on the butternut squash. It is a photo I took at this time last year. I had pulled the large squash fresh off the moist ground in my garden and I liked the earthy quality it gave off -- and it was delicious when I baked it. I just use olive oil on mine but the brown sugar and butter sounds good. -- barbara

    1. Mimi -- I know that it must have required some effort to get this display together. I think its just a matter of priorities. I put pumpkins out and sometimes later I look for Osage Oranges to set out.
I like the natural look of this place though. thanks for stopping by -- barbara

    1. June -- Perhaps it is tasteful as it is not full of plastic blow-ups. Sorry to those that use them. Thanks for the nice comment -- barbara

    1. RuneE -- I liked this place as it was full of natural material rather than the overdone plastic blow-ups that have become popular in the states. Hopefully this blow-up idea has not reached your country yet. -- thanks -- barbara

You don't need to post this comment, I just wanted to thank you for your comment on my sunrise photos, and also draw your attention to the post just beneath it, because I think you'll really enjoy another example of my Mom's miniatures and didn't want you to miss it! :-)
